Roger Lassarat comes from a long line of vignerons, and today runs his small domaine of 40 acres with son, Pierre-Henri. Their property is entirely farmed in a sustainable manner and on chalky hillsides, some vines as old as 100 years, providing an ideal landscape for high quality Chardonnay. This ‘Clos de France’ bottling undergoes some light barrel ageing – the finished product being of great texture and balance and made with precision. Classic notes of green apple and citrus, balanced well with beautiful minerality which is notable of the region from the chalky soils.
